A few answers to help you get to know Nivers, our botanical signatures and the approach behind their creation.
  • What is Nivers?

A French brand based in Lyon, Nivers creates alcohol-free beverages designed to be enjoy at the table. Teas, botanicals and flowers are crafted througth infusion, maceration and blending to create complex, balanced and distinctive aromatic expressions. Nivers doesn’t seek to imitate wine, each cuvée is a creation in its own right.

  • When to enjoy Nivers?

Our creations are designed to complement food, from starter to dessert, as well as celebratory occasions with ACTE 01, our sparkling cuvée. Each signature has its own aromatic profile and can be paired with a variety of culinary styles : vegetables, fish, meat, cheese or dessert.

  • How do you serve our cuvées?

Serve Nivers in a wine glass. Take the time to observe, smell, and then taste : the aromas evolve throughout the tasting. In general, serve our still cuvées (the numbers) between 12°C and 16°C in wine glass to reveal their full aromatic richness. The sparkling range, ACTE, should be served at around 6°C to 8°C in a flute or a sparkling wine glass.

  • How long does an opened bottle keep for?

Once opened, our creations can be kept refrigerated without any loss of aromatic intensity for up to 12 days for the still range and up to 2 days for the sparkling ACTE range.

  • Is it really alcohol-free?

Yes, Nivers cuvées contain 0.0% alcohol. Our production process does not create alcohol: we use a fermented base, aged for several months, which is then incorporate as an ingredient into our infusions. Nivers is therefore suitable during pregnancy.

  • Does Nivers contain theine?

The teas we use in our blends contain very low to negligible amounts of theine. In addition, we use low-temperature infusions and cold macerations, which extract even less of the small amount of theine naturally present in the teas. Nothing to disrupt your sleep!

  • Does it taste sweet?

Our drinks are designed to be enjoyed with food, so they are carefully crafted to achieve the perfect balance between acidity and sweetness. After fermentation and production, only a small amount of residual sugar remains, making it barely perceptible on the palate.
